Incident: Germanwings A319 at Stuttgart on Jul 25th 2010, bird strike

A Germanwings Airbus A319-100, registration D-AKNR performing flight 4U-2672 from Stuttgart (Germany) to Heraklion (Greece), struck a bird while climbing out of Stuttgart s runway 07. The crew levelled off at 5000 feet and returned to Stuttgart s runway 07 for a safe landing about 20 minutes after departure. A replacement Airbus A319-100 registration D-AKNN reached Heraklion with a delay of 6 hours.
