Incident: SAS MD82 near Athens on Jul 24th 2010, hydraulic problem

A SAS Scandinavian Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82, registration LN-RLE performing flight SK-7734 from Chania (Greece) to Aalborg (Denmark) with 153 people on board, diverted to Athens (Greece) due to a hydraulic problem, the crew however did not request any assistance. The airplane landed safely on Athens runway 03R about one hour after departure from Chania. A replacement aircraft has been dispatched to Athens and is expected to reach Aalborg with a delay of 15 hours. The passengers were taken to local hotels.
