Incident: Kingfisher A320 near Bangalore on Jul 22nd 2010, medical emergency

A Kingfisher Airbus A320-200, flight IT-106 from Bangalore to Mumbai (India) with 83 people on board, was about 20 minutes into the flight when a passenger suffering from diabetes complained about chest pain. A doctor on board provided first aid and recommended to get the patient into hospital as quickly as possible. The crew decided to return to Bangalore where the airplane landed safely about 50 minutes after departure. The patient having suffered a cardiac arrest had to be pronounced dead upon arrival.
