Incident: American Eagle E135 at Asheville on Jul 18th 2010, bird strike

An American Eagle Embraer ERJ-135, flight MQ-2931 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Asheville,NC (USA), was on final approach to runway 16 descending through about 300 feet AGL, when the aircraft flew through a flock of geese and 3 or 4 geese impacted the aircraft and the right hand engine. The airplane continued for a safe landing. The FAA said, the geese impacted the airplane s nose, gear door and the right hand engine. The engine needed to be replaced. The incident airplane was ferried from Asheville to Dallas Ft. Worth on Jul 22nd as flight MQ-9801.
