Incident: Jazz DH8C at Vancouver on Jul 19th 2010, undetected fuel leak results in undetected small engine fire

An Air Canada Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-GETA performing flight QK-8411 from Kelowna,BC to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 52 people on board, landed at Vancouver without apparent incident and taxied to the gate. After arrival at the gate ground crew noticed a fluid under the left hand engine and requested a maintenance inspection. The Canadian TSB reported, that maintenance found a small hole in a fuel line which had been chafed by the wiring harness attached to it, arcing had occured and there was evidence of a small fire.
